They are also used to hold the loading ramp together while in transit. Again you don’t want to be concerned about the ramp sliding around while your vehicle is in motion. This can’t happen if you use the safety straps to secure the ramp.

Another worthwhile safety feature is one that is especially appreciated by anyone who has to load or unload unassisted. Use the attaching lip to ensure the ramp does not slip or move while in use. It comes complete with rubber pads so your tailgate is not damaged during use.
